Royal Baby #2

Well, it’s official! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, or William and Kate if you will are expecting their second child. Their son George was born in July of 2013 and became the third in line for the throne behind Prince Charles and his father William. The birth of George pushed Prince Harry down to the fourth in line for the throne. 

The news of their pregnancy was announced on Monday, September 8th via Twitter that they were expecting another child. Although the baby is not passed the 1st trimester yet, the royal household made the announcement because Kate had to cancel an appearance scheduled at an event in Oxford for that day. They said that the Duchess suffers from acute morning sickness as she did in her 1st pregnancy. Her condition from the first pregnancy hospitalized her forced her to be hospitalized just weeks into her pregnancy.

The condition, referred to as Hyperemesis Gravidarum is the case of extreme and persistent nausea during the pregnancy that can often times lead to dehydration, weight loss and a build up of toxins in the blood and urine called ketosis. It requires much hydration, nutrients and medication to be treated. The condition affects 3.5 of 1,000 pregnancies. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated for her condition by doctors at Kensington Palace, but it calls into question her future attendance to events. 

The impending birth of this young royal has generated so much excitement from so many people around the country. With the announcement of another royal baby on the way, many people have already started bets on the gender, hair color and name of the new baby. Both Prince Charles and Prince Harry have commented that they are overjoyed by the news of the new baby and both hope that the Duchess has a girl. 

Although this pregnancy has excited so many people, the one thing it will lack will be the constitutional significance that the birth of Prince George had and it is also said that the pregnancy of this second child might put a stall on the Duchess’s plan to take her first solo overseas tour to Malta for two days later this month.

Dancing With the Stars Is Back!

Dancing With the Stars is back! The fan favorite ABC show that puts celebrities with professional dancers to compete for the mirror ball trophy is finally back for it’s 19th season. The show has 13 contestants this year, all paired up with one of the show’s professionally trained dancers. The celebrity contestants this year are from a wide range of jobs. From actresses to athletes they have just about everyone.
Lolo Jones, an Olympic track star was the first to go on this season of the show. She was partnered with Keo and they received the low score of 22 out of a 40 possible points. They performed a cha cha that started off with the exchange of a few text messages but the dance was a little rocky after that with Lolo forgetting her moves and not being able to recover.
Tavis Smiley and partner Sharna were the second to go home after the week 2 theme of #MyJamMonday. The celebrities and their partners had to pick a song that they considered “their jam” and then had to perform to the song. Tavis and Sharna brought it back to the disco days with their cha cha dance to Boogie Wonderland. Unfortunately the judges felt that it was an off week and the fans didn’t vote in the direction so the duo was sent home.
The other celebrities for this season include Jonathan Bennett, an actor who is best known for playing Aaron Samuels in the 2004 movie Mean Girls. Jonathan is partnered with Allison Holker. Partnered with Peta Murgatroyd is comedian Tommy Chong who is most known for his marijuana themed Cheech & Chong comedy albums. UFC champion and actor Randy Couture is partnered with Karina Smirnoff.  The famous fashion designer Betsey Johnson is paired with dancer Tony Dovolani.
Youtube sensation Bethany Mota was partnered with Derek Hough and Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish was matched with Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Alfonso Ribeiro, the sitcom actor dances with Witney Carson. Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson dances with Mark Ballas and Antonio Sabàto, Jr. is paired with Cheryl Burke. Lea Thompson from ABC Family’s Switched at Birth is partnered with Artem Chigvintsev and auto racing champion Michael Waltrip dances with Emma Slater. 
While the celebrities of the show perform new dances each week to compete with one another to win the mirror ball trophy and not be sent home, the professional dancers of the show also have an ongoing competition between themselves to see who can win the most mirror ball trophies. Derek Hough is in the lead currently with a total of 5 mirror ball trophies and no one is close behind him.

Dancing with the Stars is on ABC every night Monday night at 8/7 central.

Orange Is the New Black is Coming Back

Orange Is the New Black, the Netflix Original Series that has taken the world by storm is based off of the book Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison written by Piper Kerman about her experiences in prison. The 1st season of the show was released on July 11, 2013 and has been a big hit with everyone since then. The show is revolved around Piper Chapman, a bisexual woman who is sentenced to 15 months in a women’s federal prison for transporting a suitcase full of drug money for her girlfriend at the time Alex who was an international drug smuggler.

Piper Kerman, the author of the book the series is based on was in a romantic relationship with a woman who dealt heroin for a West African kingpin. Kerman got involved in the ordeal by laundering money for the drug operation. In 1998, she was indicted for money laundering and drug trafficking and pleaded guilty. She then served 13 months of her 15 month sentence in 2004.

In the 1st season of the show, Piper Chapman lives in New York City with her new fiancee Larry Bloom. Larry takes Piper to prison where she will serve her 15 month sentence for laundering drug money for her then girlfriend Alex Vause. When Piper gets to prison, Piper attempts to learn her way around the place and in midst of that insults the cooking right in front of the prison’s chef Red. Red then retaliates and cuts Piper off by not giving her any food. Piper then finds out that her ex girlfriend is also an inmate at the same prison. This calls in to question Piper’s feelings for Alex and her relationship with Larry.

Season 2 was filled with just as much drama. It really put a lot of focus on the things going on inside the prison that many people on the outside wouldn’t know about. A problem at the prison in the show was money not being distributed around the prison the way they said it would be. Like the new gym that was supposed to be opened but was never built or the track that they shut down because they “didn’t have enough money to support it.” It also puts focus on a new character Vee, who is vindictive and takes advantage of other prisoners. She starts dealing drugs throughout the prison by use of tampon boxes. 

As many people are happy to hear, they have announced that there will be a third season that will be released onto Netflix in the near future. It has been slotted to come back sometime in June or July of 2015, so for everyone waiting, they will have to wait a couple months until they can binge on their beloved Orange Is the New Black.

Over the past months, the announcements and deliveries of many celebrity babies have been a major topic in the world of celebrity world. 
Music mogul Simon Cowell shocked many people when he and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman announced that they were expecting  a child. Well, the day came on Valentine’s Day when Lauren gave birth to a boy, their son Eric. The creator of American Idol and the X Factor was not someone that I would have pinned for the father type, but it looks like I was wrong. Cowell’s girlfriend Lauren has a son Adam from a previous marriage.
Reality star Melissa Rycroft, a former Dallas Cowboy’s Cheerleader, 2 time Dancing With the Stars performer and is most famous for her appearance on Season 13 of the Bachelor when she was proposed to by Jason Mesnick, then he later called off the engagement to be with 2nd place bachelorette Molly. After Melissa’s appearance on the Bachelor and her breakup with Jason, she got back together with ex-boyfriend Tye Strickland and have been together ever since. They recently welcomed their 2nd child, Beckett Thomas on April 20.
Season 1 winner of American Idol Kelly Clarkson just had a daughter on June 14 of this year. She and husband Brandon Blackstock announced on Twitter that they had had their daughter River Rose and that both were on cloud 9.
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans now has increased her family to 4. She and her boyfriend Nathan Griffith welcomed their son Kaiser into the world on June 30. Kaiser has 2 half-siblings, Jenelle’s son from a previous relationship Jace, and Nathan’s daughter Emery. The couple tricked their fans on the big day by telling everyone that they were spending the day at the beach by tweeting about it. Fans were later bombarded with pictures of their son Kaiser followed by tweets from both about the prank.
On August 16, Christina Aguilera and her husband Matt Rutler gave the news of their daughter Summer Rain’s arrival. The couple met on the set of Aguilera’s movie Burlesque in 2010, where Rutler was a production assistant. The announcement was made by Christina when she tweeted to her fans about how overjoyed she was to announce the arrival of her first child Summer Rain.

Power couple Kevin and Danielle Jonas had their first child Alena Rose Jonas on February 2. Their life with their new child can be seen on the their reality TV show Married to Jonas!
