The one thing that has been all the rage in the App Store this summer has been the new Kim Kardashian Hollywood game. The object of the game is to make your way up the social ladder and go from an E-lister to an A-lister. The game is said to be very fun and addicting and is extremely popular among middle age teens right now.
When I heard about this game from my friends, they immediately told me that if I didn't have the Kim Kardashian game, I was missing out. So reluctantly, I got the game. The way the game works, is in order to make your way to that A-list status, you must make connections with other characters in the game. You can move up levels, based on the number of fans you have, who you are dating, who your friends are and who you model for.
The game is centered in the city of Hollywood, but as you increase your levels you are able to travel to more places, starting with Beverly Hills and eventually being able to go places such as Paris, France. While playing the game, you have the power to constantly be changing your character's look. You may buy new outfits and change your hairstyle. The more you move up in levels, the more hairstyles and clothing the game unlocks.
In the game, you're also very close friends with Kim Kardashian. She is the one person that really helps you out and helps you make connections so that you can move up in your status as quickly as possible. The more friends that you can make who run in the same circle as Kim Kardashian, the more famous and popular you will become.
What would be a celebrity without an archenemy? Beware, if you decide to play this game, you will most likely make one. The gmae always creates that one character that will get mad at your character for anything from flirting with her boyfriend to stealing her style. Throughout the game, as you deal with getting new fans, as well as friends, you will also have to learn how to balance the "enemies" in your life.
The game Kim Kardashian Hollywood became an overnight sensation. Although the app is free in the App Store, Kim Kardashian is making a fortune off this game. You can't blame kids for liking it. It allows kids to be able to feel like a celebrity with all the fans and the paparazzi as well as the status that comes with it. One Direction Where We Are Tour
One of the hot things in music this summer that was especially popular among the teenage girls of the world was the One Direction Where We Are tour. The tour was centered around their latest album, Midnight Memories. The tour was set to visit stadium after stadium from April to October 2014. The tour completely sold out in almost every location around the United States and grossed over $230 million in tickets. They had the rising boy band 5 Seconds of Summer opening for them as they toured the world.
One Direction is an English-Irish boy band that made it big when they appeared on The X Factor as individuals trying to get a break. When they didn't make it in as individuals, the judges of the X Factor decided to put the 5 boys together into a band and add them back into the competition. This was the beginning of One Direction. From there they went on to do concert after concert and now have 3 albums out and are working on their 4th. They have done 3 tours and have also released 2 movies.
I was fortunate enough to get to go to one of their many concerts in Chicago, Illinois when they played at Solider Field. The atmosphere at that concert was so amazing and I can honestly say that it was one of the best concerts that I have ever been to. The concert started out with 5 Seconds of Summer taking the stage and putting on an unbelievable set with songs from their 1st album. After an amazing show, 5 Seconds of Summer then announced that they would be doing their own tour next summer and go all around the United States.
After 5 Seconds of Summer left, they took about an hour to change sets and get ready for One Direction to take the stage. One Direction came out with a bang! They had everything from fireworks to streamers throughout their set. The band even brought a young girl up onto the stage so that they could all sign her cast. They sang all of their songs from their latest album Midnight Memories as well as some popular ones from their last 2 albums plus their single that made them so famous, What Makes You Beautiful!
The one thing that amazed me about One Direction was the fact that they sounded almost better live then they do on their CD's. The sound in Solider Field was incredible and so was the band. They had such a great set list and I am beyond excited to see them again when they go back to Chicago and when their new album Four drops.

Death of Joan Rivers
As many people know, Joan Rivers, beloved actress, comedian and TV host passed away recently. Joan was most widely known today for the television show that she hosted with her daughter Melissa called Fashion Police. Joan Rivers died on August 28, 2014 when she underwent a simple throat surgery that came with complications that led to her stopping breathing during the surgery and after she went through cardiac arrest. After the stress of the throat surgery and the cardiac arrest, Joan was put into a medically induced coma and later was put on life support on August 30, 2014. From there, Joan's family made the decision to remove her from life support, ending her life.
Joan Rivers started her long lived career in 1950 when she appeared in a short play called Driftwood where she was a lesbian with a strong crush on another female lead played by Barbra Streisand. The play ran for 6 week and after, Joan performed at a number of comedy clubs all throughout 1960. Joan later began her first talk show, "That Show with Joan Rivers." After the short lived show ended, she came out with her first 2 comedy albums.
In the 1970's, Joan Rivers began to appear all over in various TV comedy and variety shows. She also wrote and directed 2 comedies during that year. In 1986, Joan had her biggest break when the Fox Television Network told her that they were going to give her her own late night talk show, making her the first woman to have her own late night talk show on a major network. After the failure of this show, Joan continued to appear in multiple other talk shows and even tried to start her own talk show only to have it once again fail. After the failure of her multiple television shows, Joan switched roles and began to host award shows which then exposed her to many opportunities that she is really known for now. After guest starring in many shows, Joan got a show with weTV, "Joan and Melissa, Joan Knows Best" that covered her move to California to be closer to family and then she also landed her role as a cohost on Fashion Police.
Joan is survived by her daughter Melissa, grandson Cooper and her thousands of fans around the world that she acquired over the years. Joan Rivers was an extraordinary actress, comedian, TV host and woman and will be dearly missed by people all over.
