Bruce Jenner's Life after the Kardashians

Suspicions have recently been confirmed about Bruce Jenner's change to a woman. For weeks we've seen pictures of Bruce Jenner in tabloids with red nail polish and long hair and now the tabloids are saying that he's officially planning to undergo a gender change as well as be apart of a TV show that will document every aspect of his change. Just recently though, Bruce Jenner got into a fatal car accident on the highway. He was driving when he rear ended a Lexus, causing the Lexus to rear end a Prius in front of it. The Prius ended up spinning across the road into oncoming traffic and the driver of the Lexus was killed. 5 other people were injured in the car accident.
Bruce Jenner is trying to do everything that he can in order to help out the families that have been affected and he states that he is being fully cooperative in the situation. It must be extremely hard to have to go through something like this. Bruce was just getting through everything with his gender change and now he caused this car accident that is all over the news. No part of Bruce's life is private anymore, so when something like this happens in his life and everyone is all over it.
So back to Bruce's gender change, the announcement didn't come as much of a shock to his family. Friends said that it had seemed for years as though Bruce just never felt like himself in his own skin. So when he finally came out, his friends and family were overjoyed to hear that he was finally coming to terms with himself. Even his daughters are in full support of him and what he's decided to do. Kim, Khloe and Kourtney all said that they waited to see how their mother would react and how she felt about the situation with their father and once they were sure that he had her approval, they were in complete support of their fathers decision and what he intended to do with his life.
I think what Bruce is doing with his life is great. The fact that he is taking control of everything and changing his life for the better so that he can feel more comfortable in his own skin. He's changing his life for the better and I hope that once everything passes and is complete he is able to live a happier and easier life as a woman than he has been able to.

2015 Grammy Awards

Millions watched last night as the Grammy's showcased numerous artists and their successes this past year in the 57th annual Grammy awards. If you watched the show then you would know that this night totally belonged to Sam Smith who took home 4 Grammy's last night, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album. Though Sam has proved to have an extremely successful year, he isn't the only one. Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, and Roseanne Cash all took home three awards last night as well as Beck's latest album Morning Phase which won Album of the Year.
So who remembers a couple years ago in 2009 when Kanye West ran on stage when Taylor Swift won the Best Female Video of the Year over Beyonce at the VMA's? He congratulated Taylor and told her he was happy for her and then proceeded to tell the audience that he felt that Beyonce had the best video of all time, basically saying that Taylor didn't deserve the award. Well folks, lets just say that almost happened once again last night. When Beck was announced Album of the Year for his new album Morning Phase which let me just say I have never heard of neither Beck nor Morning Phase in my life, was announced as the winner of the Grammy, Kanye rushed up to the stage once Beck began talking but immediately upon taking the stage, thought better of himself and sat down. Good for Kanye for not ruining yet another awards show.
Yet immediately after the show was over, Kanye trashed Beck in the media saying that Beyonce should have won the album of the year and Beck didn't deserve it. But complete props to Beck because right after he was trashed by Kanye, he came out in the media and agreed with Kanye saying that he absolutely thought that Beyonce was going to win and although West said those things about him, he still respected him and thought he was a total genius. Beck went on to say that he aspires to do what Kanye does because after all, how many records has that guy put out in the last 5 years?
So lets just continue down the path of talking about Beck shall we? I have never ever heard of the singer Beck or his infamous Album of the Year ever and now all of a sudden he's beating out both Beyonce and Sam Smith for a Grammy? Maybe I should take some time to go listen to this album because it better be good if it was able to beat Beyonce and Sam.

Finally, A Bachelorette Success Story

Finally, we have a very rare Bachelor success story. The Bachelorette star Desiree Hartstock left Sean Lowe's season of the Bachelor heartbroken right after hometown dates but returned for the next season of the Bachelorette to find love on her own. That is where she met the love of her life, Chris Siegfried, who after 2 long years is now her husband. On January 18th, the couple finally tied the knot. They met on Hartstock's season and continued their romance throughout the season which ended in August 2013 with a proposal from Siegfried.
To anyone who knows the Bachelor or has read my previous posts knows how low the success rate tends to be with couples who get engaged on the show. Sure, you get the few success stories but with Desiree and Chris, i'll admit, I was skeptical at first. If you watched her season, you know that she was dead set on Brooks Forrester until he left the show and broke her heart, so it had me wondering if Chris was nothing but a rebound. I remember sitting on my phone always getting on Desiree or Chris's Tnstagram or Twitter to see if they were still together.
Obviously they made it through and might I just say, props to them for waiting it out to make sure that marriage to one another was indeed what they wanted. They waited a long two years before they finally tied the knot, unlike most Bachelor and Bachelorette couples who start planning right away.
If anyone watched Desiree and Chris on the Bachelorette, you would have known that they were meant to be together. I remember watching the beginning of the season and seeing Desiree fall head over heels for Brooks and I just knew that they didn't feel good for one another, but after Brooks left and she and Chris started getting serious, I could tell they were going to get married. They were that couple who seemed completely head over heels for one another.
So after the disappointment of having Andi and Josh split, it was nice to see Des and Chris so happy and in love and finally tie the knot. In the end, thats what the whole show is really about. We want to see the success stories and the real love, not all the unnecessary dumb drama that seems to be happening these days on the show.

Superbrawl Sunday

If anyone watched the Superbowl tonight, you would know that it was definitely one to remember. First of all both teams that got in didn't really show much class in how they got to the Superbowl in the first place. Immediately after the games were played if you recall, there were allegations made against the New England Patriots for deflating the game ball before the start of the game and the Seattle Seahawks are just a dirty team. They lead the NFL for penalties with a whopping 130 this season and thats not counting all the penalties that happened tonight. 

The game was an incredibly close game. It was pretty intense at my house and no one in my family is even a Seahawks nor a Patriots fan. The biggest craziness of this game would have to be the last 2 minutes. The Patriots scored, putting themselves in the lead and all of a sudden the Seahawks were at the goal line with a strong chance to score. Instead of running the ball, they made the choice to pass it which was quickly and swiftly intercepted by a Patriots player. The game should have ended right there but oh no it got better.

The Seahawks players proceeded to throw some punches and go after the Patriots players. Being pro football players you couldn't expect the Patriots players to just sit back and take it so of course they fought right back and there ladies and gentlemen it turned into a full on Superbrawl 2015.

So i watched the Superbowl at my aunt and uncle's house with them, my mom, dad, sister and brother and let me just say, my house erupted when the last 2 minutes took place. It was unbelievable to see everyone's reactions and as for everything going on on the field, it got so wild and crazy that I have expected someone to leap from the stands and join in on the fighting on the field.

I don't think many players showed great character in the game tonight, and I think it reflected kind of poorly on the NFL. You expect these high payed players to be pretty composed when it comes to taking the field and instead they started throwing punches at one another the minute the game didn't go the way they wanted it to. If you ask me I believe that the NFL needs to reevaluate the way things are going.

Bachelorette Power Couple Split for Good

Millions watched as Andi Dorfman went through her journey as ABC's Bachelorette. They watched her meet 25 wonderful men and slowly work her way to "the one." They watched her and fiancee Josh Murray celebrate together when they were finally able to go in public together and they watched as the couple strutted the red carpet for the season 20 Bachelor premiere.
Sadly, those millions of people were completely shocked when the couple announced the split just weeks after showing up to the premiere happy as can be and celebrating their 6 month anniversary. I must say, I was one of those millions who sadly stared at their computer screen as they read the top headline on E online stating that the couple had announced their mutual split. I had for sure thought that Andi and Josh would be another success story for the famous television show.
I know right from the start that I thought Andi would pick Josh in the end. From the moment Josh stepped out of the limo, you could see the chemistry between them and the way they acted with each other was just like one of those fun relationships that wasn't being completely filmed for national television. I am glad to say that the split was anything but messy. The couple both tweeted saying that this was the best for them at the moment and they wished each other the best and did not regret a single thing about their relationship.
Josh's mom also made a public statement on Facebook saying that she felt that although their family will greatly miss Andi, she's glad that they were able to realize it wasn't meant to be before they got married and especially before they brought kids into the mix. I have to say I completely agree with her. Although I'm upset that they decided to end it, I'm glad they were able to see that they just weren't right for each other at the moment before they got married or had kids were it would have been a lot more complicated.
They never did tell anyone why they ended it. They just gave the typical explanation of it just didn't feel right and they ended it, so ladies, Josh Murray is back on the market and to all you bachelors out there, Andi Dorfman is now single once again. Although they weren't one of the few success stories, they will forever be remembered to me as one of the cutest couples I've seen on the show

Taken 3 Review

People watched and waited, and waited some more for the new Taken 3 movie to come out and it finally has!  Like most of America, I went and watched it the night of it’s premiere, January 9th. All is I can say is wow. The cast and crew of the Taken series has wowed us once again. I was on the edge of my seat for almost the entirety of the movie. It was as if the action never stopped. 

I have to admit I was a tad surprised at the storyline. Because I didn’t watch the trailer beforehand, I was expecting another kidnapping followed by the enduring fight to find the missing person, but instead I was surprised with the unlikely surprise of a murder mystery movie. For some people, I know it was a downer compared to the disappearances in the 1st two movies, but for me I loved it! I enjoyed it so much because I absolutely love watching murder mysteries. I love being able to try and find out who the murderer is before the characters in the movie do. Although some movies make it obvious who the killer was from the very beginning, I never felt that way in this movie. I was constantly being thrown through twists and turns. When I thought I knew who the killer was, I was thrown a total curveball and it wasn’t who I thought it was.

The movie has the majority of the same characters who have been in the last two but they did do something interesting that I’m not so sure how I feel about it. You saw a lot more of Stewart throughout the movie and you got to know more about him, but they changed the actor on us! In the first two movies, you see Stewart as older man with grey hair...basically he’s a lot older than Lennie. In the third movie though it’s as though Stewart went through a time warp. All of a sudden in the third movie he becomes a younger darker haired man. If they really did have to change the character, couldn’t they have at least gone with someone who was around the same age or looked similar. When I first saw him, I had thought that Lennie had gotten married a third time he looked that different.  Aside from Stewart’s character, I still loved the movie a ton! It’s a movie that definitely recommend to everyone to go see!

The Craziness of The Bachelor

If anyone has been watching TV recently, then you probably know about the new season of The Bachelor featuring the small town farmer Chris Soules. They left the season premiere with an ultimate cliffhanger. Will Kimberly be allowed to return to the show? I was stunned when she approached Chris and told him that she wants another chance, then I was even more baffled when Chris let her back on the show! How is that at all fair to the other girls who actually did receive roses? In my opinion, her not talking to Chris all night is her own fault. If she wanted to talk to him she could have, and she had all night to do it. It’s not as though Chris was hiding from her.

                So that’s how the episode kicked off for me, and then if proceeded with the group date. If you watched you saw the two girls, Jillian and Megan decide to break into Chris’s house and go crazy. Once again I couldn’t believe it! Chris had invited them on a pool party date and there they were breaking into his house and going through his stuff. But, to no avail the girls planned to do their little activity everyday. Of course the show must go on, so after the pool party they were all brought downtown where Chris presented them with the opportunity to do tractor races down the streets of Downtown LA. Does that sound like fun or what?

                After the winner was revealed and she and Chris had a little alone time, and when Chris came back he revealed that the rest of the night would be spent as a one on one date with the lovely Mackenzie! Mackenzie spent quite a lot of time talking about aliens and big noses which if you ask me is a liiitttlleee weird for a first date, and I guess Chris thought so as well. Finally, she mentioned her having a child and that was something that Chris liked. The rest of the date went of smoothly with lots of lip locking.

                Okay what happened next really irritated me. Mackenzie got back to the house and would not stop telling the girls how many times she kissed Chris throughout the night. Like she would not stop. I understand if you feel the need to talk about it once or twice but there comes a time where no one wants to hear it anymore, and I think the other girls in the house would know what I’m talking about. Anyways, the date card went to Megan who took an amazing helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon that ended with Chris seeing a future with her.

                Later there is yet another date card handed out with another group date that turns into them playing paintball against a bunch of zombies (kinda weird right?) Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves though and Chris was able to see the real side of some of the girls in the group. (cough cough Britt). The night ended with the rose ceremony where Chris had to send home a total of 4 girls including drunken Jordan and Tara as well as Alissa and Kimberly who’s second chance wasn’t so good I guess.
